Steelcraft Framing is a leading steel house framing business experiencing strong growth. To further enhance the support we provide to our valued customers, we have an exciting opportunity for a Yardman/Despatch Officer.

The Role:

This role will play a crucial role in our operations, overseeing various tasks related to the management of our yard and dispatch activities. The primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient and safe loading and unloading of delivery trucks, managing inventory, and supporting the despatch process. You will be responsible for maintaining the organisation of the yard and ensuring that production materials are readily available on the factory floor. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or related industry, will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Forklift: Must possess a forklift license and have experience in operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Early Start Flexibility: Ability to start as early as 5am when required to load trucks.
• Unload Delivery Trucks: Efficiently and safely unload incoming delivery trucks.
• Inventory Management: Receive and store inventory (training provided)
• Order Fulfilment: Pick and pack items accurately for despatch.
• Stock Management: Ensure production materials are consistently stocked on the factory floor.

Work Hours:

• Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 5am to 1:26pm. Flexibility required.

• Familiarity with the construction industry or similar environments is highly regarded.
